I love a good “trends” list. Whether it’s the top paint colors for home decor or the best dinner recipes for the season, I always enjoy the way a niche expert’s curated take on macro patterns can spark my own reflection, insight, and creativity.
At August we’re experts in organizational design. And lately we've observed some powerful emerging trends around what organizations are really grappling with today.
So we curated our own “top 5 hot trends” list and distilled for each what challenges your org might be facing and how we might help. These include:
- Building REAL Trust
- Culture Redesign
- Governance & Leadership Design
- Leadership Journey & Competency Design
- Accelerate AI Adoption
These offerings have been carefully developed based on industry trends, client feedback, and emerging needs in today's dynamic business environment.
Our expertise in Agile Ways of Working, Empowered Decision Making, Psychological Safety Through a Learning Culture, and Operationalizing Equity & Inclusion continue to be foundational to all of this work.
But we’ve invested in deepening our expertise in these five additional areas, in response to what we’ve been hearing across client projects, conference sessions, and coffee chats.
This is our menu of what organizations need in order to meet the moment.
What excites me most about these five areas is their deep alignment with August’s human-centered, practical approach to organizational development.
It’s thrilling to unite our foundational philosophy with the emerging trends of this unique moment.
That said, as with any trends list, I see this menu as a conversation starter more than a set list.
What do you see on this list that speaks to your current organizational focus areas?
What patterns have emerged recently in your own work that might be missing from this list?
For me, reading the distilled analysis of a niche expert, whether in fashion or cooking or home decor, gives me a framework for understanding my own perspective, whether it aligns perfectly with the expert’s or not.
I hope this list provides a similar benefit for you. This process of reflection and recalibration is what responsive org design is all about!
Please reach out if you would like to discuss how August can help your organization develop these new competencies.
